These are 3D printer materials provided by Hewlett-Packard, commonly used by Quorum Prosthetics in many of their products. Through extensive testing, we found TPA to be perfect for the shock-absorbing lattice in the heel, while PA12 is ideal for the durable and long-lasting material used in the rest of the insert. For most hikers, the 3D Comfort Soles provide enhanced shock absorption, arch support, and a more comfortable hiking experience. However, some individuals may experience discomfort at the ball of the foot due to the increased heel height, especially after several miles on rocky terrain.
Adding an over-the-counter shock-absorbing insole on top of the 3D Comfort Soles can help alleviate this issue.

Since everyone has different needs and engages in sports differently, we do not provide guidance for specific sports. It should be noted that 3D Comfort Soles will increase the heel height which may cause a slight sensation of walking or running downhill.
Also, this increased height may impact lateral support while, at the same time, the increased arch support may improve lateral support. You should personally test how 3D Comfort Soles work for you, your shoes, and your sport with a minimal exertion. Then gradually increase your exertion to ensure that you have no negative experience.
